Green Director’s Report
As can be seen, the top green has been replaced with Tifdwarf Couch.
The replacement of the top green has been a great success.
I would like to thank the volunteers who helped with the spreading of the sprigs, which came from the scarifying of the bottom green. Job well done!
Maintenance of greens over the next four months
Top Green
- Spring dead spot control sprays
- Foliar fertilising
- Kill off weeds
- Clean out ditches
- Double scarify in August
Bottom Green
- Wetting agent
- Spring dead spot control sprays
- Foliar fertilising
- Moss, algae and Poa treatment
- Veri-drain, double scarify in August
Both greens will be top dressed around Christmas time.
At this time, all our equipment is in serviceable condition.
On behalf of the Club, I would like to thank Russell for his hard work in maintaining our greens.
As we only had the one green available for play this season, it was critical that it be kept in good condition.
Russell worked hard to ensure it was ready to be played on and kept in ‘good health’ at all times.
